What is Robot Basketball and How Does It Work?

This system is the transformation of a high-precision industrial robot arm—commonly seen on factory production lines—into a basketball professional. The process works as follows:

• Entering the stage: The participant is invited to the game area, defined by LED lights and special flooring. The robotic arm and digital scoreboard standing opposite are ready for the game to begin.

Technical Details

Integrating a robotic system into an event space requires expertise. The EDDRA technical team conducts the necessary power and ground surveys prior to installation. The Robot Basketball activity is suitable for both Indoor and Outdoor use. The technical requirements for an ideal experience are as follows:

• Area dimensions: A minimum area of 4x4 meters or wider is recommended for the robot's movement radius and for the participant to shoot comfortably. The area is surrounded by safety barriers or truss systems to create a safe zone.
• Ground condition: The floor must be flat and hard for the robot to be stabilized and operate without vibration. For outdoor installations, protective measures against weather conditions (Dome tents, etc.) can be taken.
• Power supply: A stable electric current is required for industrial robots and accompanying LED display systems. Our technical team coordinates the power requirements (Three-phase or Single-phase) with the venue officials before the event.
• Setup time: Installation is completed one day before the event or in the early morning hours for the robot's calibration, precise adjustments, and integration of display systems.
